REPAIR & RESTORATION
( ..... JANUARY 1st 2003 )

In this section of the site I'm going to try to give you an insight into what's
involved with doing both
Repair & Maintenance and Restoration projects
on
Guitars and Bass Guitars. Essentially, the skills used in all these areas are
similar, but are applied differently depending on what is required for each task.

PLEASE NOTE THE WARNING BELOW.....

If you want to have a go at any of the procedures I'm going to outline,
before attempting to do anything at all
: -
Please read through the entire process first...... WHEN IT IS COMPLETED.
You may not have the correct tools available
.....
THERE ARE OPTIONS.
There may be procedures you don't understand..... IF SO, PLEASE ASK.

If you're still not sure - Do Not - attempt to do it.
PLEASE SEEK ADVICE FROM A PROFESSIONAL NEAR YOU.

IF YOU DO 'HAVE A GO', IT WILL BE - AT YOUR OWN RISK !
Please Remember This.

Quite a few specialist tools are required. I'll mention what tools are needed in each section, but will also do a 'Tools and How to use Them' Section on the site at a later date.

I will also try to
incorporate pictures, when available, to attempt to illustrate
what is involved at as many stages as I can.
