STRIPPING OFF THE HARDWARE II

You can now see the distinctive 'Volute' style of the '70s type Gibson Vs.

The colour change is also quite visible now the truss-rod cover is off.
I personally prefer the longer, more elegant
and less stubby headstock
style of the '50s and '60s
Vs.

This picture shows more clearly the painted
side of the fingerboard which can be easily
mistaken for banding and also shows the higher neck set
to body than earlier models.
All the 'bits and pieces must now be collected together and put safely
in a box of some sort
and for the time being the guitar must now go
back in it's case until the next stage.
I'll continue this section as soon as possible.
