THE "STEPPED" NECK JOINT

A view of the specially designed "Stepped" neck joint.
Picture courtesy of Ashley Jones 2003.

This picture shows in detail the " Stepped" or 'offset' neck joint I developed for both the Medusa and Electra guitar models.
The neck joins at the 18th fret on the bass side and the 19th fret on the treble side on a 22 fret guitar.
This method allows a very smooth and well contoured 'heel' to the neck, especially on the treble side, to allow for even easier access to the top frets when the guitar has 'offset horns'.
