Above is a beautiful book-matched
piece of quilted maple.....
..... which will probably be used to make an
"LPS -Type".
The wood is straight off the saw and
planer..... the joint
has not been 'shot'
yet. A little water has been wiped over
the surface to 'bring out' the grain pattern.
With a bit of 'software', (Not
CAD, but a bit of "photo-wizardry") you can see
what
this particular top might look like when used for a guitar.....

Bob
has used a bit of "artistic license" with the headstock... but I
really quite like it !
It's certainly a good idea which is worth 'tweaking' a bit.
