THE SHOP - THE LONG WAY - PART I

Finding " The Royal Guitars Shop " became quite an epic for some people.
Admittedly we were stuck up a back alley, but with the advertised address
and a "sandwich-board" up in Fore Street, Exeter we had hoped that we
wouldn't be too difficult to find !

However, some people were getting really 'stressed out', as they had driven
to Exeter on several occasions and still hadn't found the shop..... The record
we believe was one guy who drove to Exeter on 5 separate occasions and only
eventually found the shop in the late afternoon of that last visit  !
..... He was truly ecstatic !
We believe that he had come all the way from Bournmouth  in Hampshire.

Anyway - This little diversion should show how hard it actually was to find our shop.

( Pictures thanks to P.B. Giles.)

1986 - How do you find " The Shop " ?

 Hmmm !

Two thirds of the way down Fore St.....

( We were thinking of trying to buy the 'Camera Shop' on the 'left' of picture.)
However, concentrate on the shop on the L/H side of the road but to the
far right of picture - just in shot.

Finally - The right address...1a New Bridge Street.

Our 'sandwich board' is on the wall - with an arrow pointing to the left.
Right address - but wrong place ?
On to Part II.....
