MAKING AN 'ANGEL'

Routing for a 'Front Mount' Control Cavity

Page 2

The 1st Part..... Done.

The 2nd Part is to rout down about 1/4" (6mm) lower in the area of the control cavity.
( To the Lower-Left.)

The 3rd Part is to rout down lower at the two ends of the pickup cavities. The maximum depth to go to would be about 1" (24mm). This is to allow space for the pickup supports and springs.
( You can see this to the middle right of the pictures above and below.)

All Routed. The Pattern has been taken off.
The pencil marks, showing the Pattern position before the routing, can still be seen.

The Body has now been Sanded all over with about 120 grit Garnet Paper.
An Orbital Sander is probably best.

That's this Stage finished.

The Next Stages will be to.....
Mark out the position of the neck joint.
Make a Template and a Router Pattern to be able to cut a good clean joint.
Set up the Pattern and the Router and then go on and do it.

I'll continue this as soon as I can.....
