The guitar featured here is a
Custom Medusa Deluxe with a one piece
Mahogany body contoured
front and back, Birds-eye Maple veneer top, two
piece Birds-eye Maple neck with an
Indian Rosewood
fingerboard and Ebony head-face. The neck and
headstock are bound and the headstock is also 'fluted'.
The custom Mother-of-Pearl inlays on the
fingerboard are a series of 'Doves in Flight' - the
one on the
12th fret having an 'olive branch' in it's beak.
Hardware wise: There is a
Kahler Pro 2300 trem (currently a temporary chrome one as the original is
being gold plated), a set of three Ivory EMG active
pickups: An 'angled' 81 at the bridge, an
SA in the
middle and an 89 at the neck with a 5-way slot-type
selector switch. The 89 has a coil tap option
activated by the tone pot which has a push/pull switch. The
81 & 89 have gold
plated surrounds.
The machines are gold plated Gotohs 6-a-side underneath the pointed headstock.
There is a bone top
nut and gold plated locking nut. The scale length is 24
3/4" and there are 22 medium/heavy frets.
Clear lacquer finish.
