but has been Re-sprayed Purple metal-flake !
There were only 2 of this type made, both in 1988 :
The
Original has a Flame Maple
and 'Pad auk'
body with a Burr
Maple 'book-matched' top, a Flame Maple neck, 24 fret bound
Ebony
fingerboard and head-face with custom
Mother-of-Pearl inlays,
Kahler Pro
Tremolo and 2 EMG
pickups 81/85 (The 'Bridge' one angled).
24 3/4" scale length.
Natural finish.
This
was a Custom
order made for Darryl Page.

The 2nd Magenta (at
the top)
has a 3 piece body..... a Mahogany
centre core with
Sycamore wings, Mahogany
neck,
bound Ebony
head-face and fingerboard, with 'Cut-Crescent'
shaped MOP inlays, Kahler Pro
Tremolo and a single 'angled'
EMG 81 pickup at the Bridge. 25 1/2" scale length.
She
was originally finished in 'Bright Pearlessent Pink'
(below).
This
guitar was used in a 'Tigertailz'
video, was then sold to
Chris Venning.
Recently I've been sent a pic by Dale Whitlock.
A Mate of his, Chris Venning was the
original owner of Magenta and
there is this black and white of Dale & Chris.
Here the Magenta is in her 'original'
condition.

She was later sold to Paul Day
and is now owned by Simon Jones.
Over
the years a 2nd pickup
and Scratch-plate
were added.
The pickups are now Gotohs.
Simon
has had her refinished in Purple Metal-Flake (above)......

She's a very Long Guitar !

It has been 'muttered' to me that Adrian
Vandenberg
had her
for a while..... but I've not managed to confirm that yet.
