This guitar was picked up for £50 ($70) in a shop and has had some work done.
Essentially it goes to show that with a bit of care and attention most guitars will
surprise you with their tone and playability, and if you ignore what's 'written' on
the headstock you can pick up some amazing bargains. First of all, it is usually
best to replace the switch - get a decent 5 way type, then the 'pots'. Even the
'cheap and cheerful' pickups can sound amazingly good if set up properly !
