I have been to quite
a few more gigs here and there,
but I can't find the tickets..... The ones I can remember are -
The Allman
Brothers at the Rainbow Theatre, London in
1981.
( Dicky Betts was
amazing.)
Stefan Grapelli
at
The Royal Festival Hall, London in 1981.
( With Martin Taylor on Guitar - Wow
!)
Wishbone Ash
at Hammersmith Odeon, London in
1981.
( The 'Number The Brave Tour'
with
Claire Hamill
- Great gig !)
Santana at
The Royal Albert Hall, London in 1981.
( Awesome sound - but lacked atmosphere.)
In the intervening
years I was heavily involved with work,
although did get to see many and various bands, it was
principally due to the business and supporting local groups
especially if they were using my guitars and
our equipment
like -
Root Logic Blues, Ltd
Edition, Onslaught and
Tigertailz and
many and various other bands in London, Bristol, Exeter
and Torquay localities - but I did manage to get to see.....
Wishbone Ash
at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, England in 1987.
( The Nouveau Calls Tour.)
Ted Turner was back for this tour with Andy Powell on Guitars,
Martin Turner - Bass and Steve Upton - Drums.
This gig had the best sound quality I have ever heard
anywhere
!
"HiFi wasn't in it
!"
After that, the next was 9 years later.....
Wishbone Ash
at The Filling Station, Newport, Wales in
1996.
Andy Powell
and
Roger Filgate
on
guitars with Martin Turner
back on Bass and Vox (Great) and Mike Sturgis on
Drums.
The 25th Anniversary Tour - a packed small club with
a fantastic atmosphere.
Wishbone Ash
at
the Queens Head, Narbeth, Wales in 1999.
Andy Powell and Martin Birch on
guitars,
Bob Skeat - Bass and Ray Weston -
Drums.
- small club with 'dodgy' PA, but a good gig.
and finally.....
I had been wanting
to see Peter Green for longer
than I could remember - and finally made it.....

Peter Green's Splinter Group
...at The Abertillery
Community Centre in the
Welsh Valleys on Friday 24th November 2000.
SUPERB !
Best of all.....

.....Peter
Greens'
Autograph.
This is my most
prized
possession.
