CUSTOM SMALL "RKB" 330 S SOLID ELECTRIC
There were Two of
these made.

The guitar has been black re-finshed at some time.
They both had a one
piece Mahogany body with a deep 'carved' contour between
the bridge and 'end-pin', one piece Mahogany neck,
Rosewood fingerboard with
dot Mother-of-Pearl inlays, a 24 5/8" scale length
from my original jig, a white
1/8" Perspex ( Plexiglas ) scratch-plate and truss-rod cover. "Royal"
was engraved
on the truss rod cover. There
were no head-stock inlays on these as this did not
suit the specific design type
:
the only two fixed neck "Royals" that didn't.
The First
(above) was
a 'Junior' type with a single pickup at the bridge and was
sprayed in a red to yellow translucent " fire-burst "
finish.
This was a custom order for Dave Goodes from Exeter, England, in 1986/87.

Dave Goodes
playing the Royale RKB 330 S in 'original
Fireburst livery' before the respray.
(Apparently she got damaged by a cymbal which was the reason for the respray)

The Second
was a twin pickup type sprayed in a dark translucent blue
finish.
This was a custom order for Mike from Cardiff, Wales, in 1989.
Unfortunately there is no picture of the
blue guitar.
If anybody knows of it's whereabouts, please
make contact by the e-mail address below.
Some photos would be brilliant.
Thanks.
