A VERY TASTY PIECE
'67 Gibson Flying V
This is the famous '67
Gibson Flying V belonging to : -
Andy Powell from
Wishbone Ash.
She has a 1 9/16" top
nut which is narrower than the Standard Gibson 1
11/16",
Standard Gibson 24 3/4" scale length, the body
joins the neck at the 17th fret and
for hardware she has a 'Tunomatic' Bridge, Maestro Tremolo & Grover
Machines.
For pickups she has an Early '60s 'PAF' from a 335
at the Neck position and a
Seymour Duncan JB at the Bridge.
A Beautiful Guitar.....
imagine the awesome sounds
she's produced over the last
30 years !.....
but she does need a bit of Restoration
at some point in the future.
This is The
Very Guitar that inspired me to become a
Guitar Maker.
I first saw her at a gig at Wembley in London on 31st
October 1977.
She is still a..... Truly Awesome 'Piece
of Kit'.
